Friday Finds- March 18

March 18, 2022

Happy Friday! Hopefully you didn’t wake up too fuzzy if you celebrated Saint Patrick’s Day yesterday. I am about to embark on day two of parent teacher conferences, so no headache for me this morning but I will definitely be needing ALL of the coffee. This week’s finds include a takeout alternative, decongestant steamer, another Netflix binge and signs of spring.

Dan Dan Noodles

We usually order takeout every Friday but with prices of everything on the rise we’re going to try to limit our take out to every other week. This recipe for Dan Dan Noodles looks simple enough to whip up after a long work week and sounds super tasty.

Ice Cube Decongestant

I have not felt well this week, I don’t know if it’s allergies, a cold, the time change. I do know it’s not Covid because I’ve taken two tests, both negative. I googled diy shower decongestant and found this recipe that is really easy to make. All you need in an ice cube tray, water and essential oils. I added one to my shower on Wednesday and it did make me feel a bit better. Just make sure you wash your ice cube tray really well afterward and keep the shower ice cubes in a labeled bag. No one wants a surprise essential oil bomb in their beverage.

Do You Take Wire Transfers?

Being home most of the week and trying not to talk too much meant only one thing. Netflix binge. I finally watched Inventing Anna and it was so good. I watched the whole thing in 2 days (no judgement, I was sick)! The series depicts Anna “Delvey” Sorokin, who posed as a German heiress and swindled hundreds of thousands of dollars from members of New York City’s wealthy elite. The casting in this was fabulous. Julia Garner did an amazing job as Anna and it was nice to see Anna Chlumsky as the journalist, she was SO good.

Pussy Willows

My mom rang our doorbell the other night and surprised me with some pussy willows. These always make me think of Easter and springtime. I don’t if it’s the little soft catkins that look like little bunny tails or that we had pussy willows in my family flower shop around this time. Either way I love them. You can find them right now at most florists and even your local grocery stores.

Have a wonderful weekend and don’t forget Spring starts on Sunday!
