I.am.tired. Well, the first two days of Kindergarten happened and I think I need a month to recover. Teaching is tough you guys, I don’t care how long you’ve been doing it, each new batch of students is so different and comes with their own baggage. Hug a teacher, thank a teacher, we’re tired and it’s only September 9th! This week’s finds include some more self care, at home hobby inspo, a fruity recipe, and the cutest fall purse.
Just Say No
I am SO guilty of this, saying ‘yes’ when I really don’t want to or have the time. If you have the same problem the check out this article from a Cup of Ambition. There are some great tips and things to consider before giving the blanket ‘yes’ statement.
Hobbies at Home
It’s important to have something that you enjoy doing. I love to travel but I can’t do that all of the time but I always enjoy making a mess in my kitchen, so cooking/baking have become home hobbies that I enjoy. During the pandemic I watched YouTube videos and learned how to crochet, that didn’t turn into an actual hobby but I can make a scarf or some slippers. Here is a list of 20 hobbies that you can do from home. There are even links to products if you’d like to purchase a little starter craft kit.

Fruit Galette Tips
I love to bake, as I mentioned above and apple season is here! If you are looking for a new fruity dessert to try why not a delicious fruit galette? Check out this post by Pardon Your French, she has some of the best dessert recipes I have made and I love the way she breaks down steps. They are also some of the prettiest desserts.
Woven Bucket Purse
I have a lot of really nice purses already and I tend to really use one of them, my super worn brown leather cross-body purse but, this bag from J. Crew is SO cute. I love the burnished pecan hue, it’s so perfect for autumn.
Have a great weekend! I may keep talking about fall but it is still summer, enjoy these last weeks. 🙂
