Friday Finds September 30

September 30, 2022

How is tomorrow already October? This year is flying by! I’m not complaining though. Cooler temps, changing leaves, everything spooky and it’s my birthday month! October is my favorite. This week’s finds include a new Halloween favorite, a super cute sweater, an easy weeknight meal and a book to look forward to.

It’s All Just A Bunch of Hocus Pocus

The Sanderson Sisters are back! 🙂 Hocus Pocus 2 starts streaming today, just in time for Spooky Season. Yay! You’ll find me with a fresh bowl of popcorn, some M&Ms and an annoyed Andrew on Friday night. Hahaha! So excited.

Witchy Sweater

I’m minorly obsessed with this cardigan from Modcloth. The bright orange color and super cute black cats are perfect for October. I’m going to check Poshmark first but I may just pony up the $70 I love it so much. You can never go wrong with a Modcloth cardigan or sweater, they are always the cutest.

Mushroom Parmigiana

Save for your next Meatless Monday! This Sheet-Pan Mushroom Parm is ready in 30 minutes and tastes delicious. Serve on a bed of spinach for a pretty healthy meal or add some spaghetti and a side salad for a heartier meal. One small change that I did when making is that I removed the portobello gills. They creep me out but the recipe doesn’t call for it. You do you.

A World of Curiosities

I’m a big fan of Louise Penny, especially her series featuring Chief Inspector Armand Gamache. Set to release November 29, A World of Curiosities, takes you back to the not so quiet village of Three Pines. “As spring arrives in Three Pines, Chief Inspector Armand Gamache and Jean-Guy Beauvoir are faced with a troubling case from their past. The son and daughter of a murdered woman have returned to the village — but why?”-BookBub  We will just have to wait to find out.

Have a wonderful weekend! 🙂

    1. Thank you! I noticed it on my afternoon walk the other day, that bright yellow is eye catching. I love this time of year and everything spooky. Hopefully you’ll like the new Hocus Pocus just as much, even if just for the nostalgia factor. 🙂
