Happy Friday! My week has been full of rainy days, cozy clothes, yummy food and crazy cats. Monte is still obsessed with his little mini me stuffy. He’s so stinkin’ cute. Anyway! This week’s finds include a creepy show, a mystery read, a delicious recipe and a perfect for fall cocktail.
Has anyone else been watching this show? I started it last week and when I found out it’s based on true events I went down the Google rabbit hole to find any info that I could. The gist…a family moves into their dream home,(which they can’t really afford), the neighbors are super weird/a bit creepy and ominous letters start appearing in their mailbox. Super strange. Definitely worth checking out. You can find it on Netflix.
A junkyard is on fire, and a local woman named Lizzie is found murdered nearby in the lake house that she rents out during the summer. Lizzie has never been liked by the residents of Copper Falls, even though she has been there all of her life. They also don’t understand why “town hero” Dwayne would’ve married her. Now the poor girl is dead and Dwayne is unaccounted for…what the heck happened in that lake house?!?!?! I’m about halfway through and hope to finish this weekend.
Crockpot Chicken Meatballs
Who doesn’t love a crockpot recipe this time of year? I’m picking up the ingredients for Garlic Butter Chicken Meatballs this weekend for an easy weeknight meal. It has a whole head of garlic which is also great this time of year because I feel like it helps fend off illness. I may have just made that up…I’m sticking to it though.
Pumpkin Bourbon Smash
Another recipe from Half Baked Harvest, this cocktail recipe looks so good! I love a good whiskey/bourbon beverage in the cooler months this one checks all of the boxes. Festive pumpkin, sweet maple syrup and warming spices. Sign me up!
Have a great weekend! And Happy Halloween!!!!
