Raise your hand if you had too many margaritas last night! Just me…oh ok…coolcool. This week was a super busy one for me and I am definitely looking forward to a little relaxation this weekend. This Sunday is also Mother’s Day in the US, so you may see a theme with my finds. This week’s finds include some last minute gift ideas, a berry brunch recipe, and some proper cocktails.
If you are looking for any easy gift try making your own reed scent diffuser. I saw the idea on instagram but I’m sure if you pinterest it you’ll get more ideas. You can easily pick up everything you need at your local craft store and pharmacy. The one I saw on instagram has 7 oz of almond oil, 7 drops of orange essential oil, and 4 drops of clove essential oil. You can swap out the scents for lavender and rose too.
I love getting and making gifts for people and these homemade gifts look like they are sure to put a smile on any mom’s face. This website has three different herbal gifts to make just in time for Mother’s Day.
I never think to make strawberry breakfast breads or muffins but this recipe looks so good. My mom loves strawberries and lemon so I feel like this would be right up her alley. Something a little different to bring to the brunch table.
My mom isn’t much of cocktail person, she’s totally happy with her Diet Pepsi. If you’re mom is into some brunch cocktails check out these whiskey cocktails that are perfect for Mother’s Day. With names like Texas Tea and Peach Punch they are sure to be a hit at the brunch table. Ditch the mimosas this year and try something new, who knows that Texas Tea could become your summer sipper.
Have a great weekend and Happy Mother’s Day to all of them mom’s out there!
