Happy Friday! And Happy Birthday to my mom! I hope her day is filled with warm bread, fresh lilacs and walks on the beach. This week’s finds include a bistro sandwich, a sassy mug, a summer candle and a throwback show.
Classics Croque Monsieur
I had some leftover Gruyère cheese from making my salmon quiche last week so I decided to whip up some Croque Monsieur for dinner on Tuesday. I’d never made this classic French bistro sandwich but found a simple to follow recipe here. It’s not complicated but it is more than just a grilled ham and cheese. Andrew made his a Croque Madame by adding an egg on top. So yummy!
Je Suis Sick of this Sh*t
I’ve shared my love for this mug before but this week, inlight of the horrible tragedy in Texas, the creator of this product is fundraising for EveryTown. Search for Je suis in the search bar. I think I may buy the sweatshirt.

Sea Salt & Citrus Candle
This summer candle not only smells amazing but also gives back to various causes. Each Lasting Smiles Cause Candle helps support and fund diverse causes caring for people and the planet. The sea salt and citrus scent is like summer in a jar.
Kids in the Hall
“I’m crushing your head, I’m crushing your head! That’s what I’m doing, flathead!” The quirky comedy troupe from Canada is back! Andrew was a HUGE fan of Kids in the Hall growing up, he’ll randomly throw quotes at me and I have no idea what he’s talking about. If you were a fan of the show in the 90s you’ll love the nostalgia factor of this new Amazon release. Warning though, there is quite a lot of frontal male nudity, which was unexpected because there wasn’t any in the older episodes. Just a heads up 🙂
Have a great weekend, a great long weekend if you have Monday off!
