Bonjour and Happy Friday! We’ve been in Paris so there may be a little theme today đ This week’s finds include some travel tips, a cute hotel, a Notre Dame update and where to find a refreshing beverage.
How to Not Look Like a Tourist in France
The French have the reputation for being rude to foreigners, especially Americans so it often deters people from visiting or they go with the expectation that they will be treated rudely. This is our 5th visit to France and we have never experienced anything but pleasant and helpful locals. This article gives you some helpful tips on how to not look like a tourist and to avoid misunderstandings.
29 Rue Lepic
When looking for a place to stay in Paris I always check Montmartre first. The hotels I shared in my Cute Paris Stays post were all unavailable but luckily I stumbled upon Hotel 29 Lepic. We stayed on Rue Lepic our very first time in Paris so this felt like a sign. The hotel was in a great location, the staff were amazing and the view could not be beat.

Notre Dame
It’s been three years since a fire tragically destroyed parts of the famed and beloved Notre Dame de Paris. Officials have worked to reconstruct what was damaged and open parts of the famous cathedral but there’s still much to be done. Plans have recently been revealed to show some additions to the grounds surrounding the landmark. These include an enlarged square behind the cathedral, a new park, an underground walkway, and a canopy of trees.
Spritz Me!
You know I love a good spritz and this hot weather definitely calls for a refreshing beverage. You can find these bubbly beverages all over Paris but some are made better than others. This guide will point you in the direction of the best spritz in town.
Bon Weekend!
